Video sources

VidBreak accepts three source paths.

YouTube

Paste a public YouTube watch, Shorts, or youtu.be link. The source must resolve to one normal video and allow playback on other websites. Live streams, playlists as a batch, private videos, videos whose owners disabled embedding, and links that require account cookies are not supported.

Direct media URL

A direct URL must resolve to a publicly reachable video response. VidBreak rejects embedded credentials, private-network addresses, unsafe redirects, unsupported content types, and files over the current upload boundary.

Local upload

Use upload for a file on your device. The Setup page validates the file before it creates a run. Browser uploads go directly to private object storage through a short-lived signed request; the analysis API does not expose your storage credentials.

Source-use responsibility

Only analyze media you own or have permission to use. VidBreak helps with structural research and original adaptation; access to a public URL is not proof that the underlying work is free of copyright restrictions.

Retention

The original source and temporary media derivatives are scheduled for physical deletion 24 hours after the run reaches a terminal state. The structured result follows a separate capacity policy described in Results and retention.
